This is Joanna's blanket:
She has this blanket and her little giraffe, and they are both her loveys. We have a back-up lovey. We do not have a back-up blanket. We want one. We really really want one. Now I've searched the internet, but have not succeed in finding one. We got this one as a gift, so I'm not exactly sure where it came from. It's also probably 1 1/2 years old-ish. So it's not in a current line in the stores. The maker is H.W. Carter & Sons (which might be the same as Carter's? I'm not sure.) So, if anyone stumbles across this blanket's twin, you must tell me! I even find it possible that somebody out there has a blanket like this in their stash of 8 million baby blankets. Want to unload this one? I'm your man. I know we have quite a few blankets around here that don't get used much. I'll even trade!

2 years and 2 months
We all took a trip to the pediatrician today for Natalie's 2 month check-up and Joanna's 2 year check-up.
Cute naked Natalie on the exam table:
Close-up.
Daddy and Joanna reading.
2 cute naked girls!
Joanna is 25lbs 8oz and 32 1/4 in long. She's still in the lower percentiles, but growing nicely. She's in a higher percentile for her height than her weight. And it's most likely that she'll get taller faster than she'll get heavier.
She got a clean bill of heath -- she's perfect!
Natalie is 10lbs 2 1/2 oz, 21 1/2 in tall, and her head is 15 1/8 in. She's headed right up the growth chart, pretty much in the middle. To give you a little comparison, Joanna was 8lbs 8oz and 20 in tall at her 2 month check-up. It's likely Joanna was almost exactly 2 months at her doctor's visit; Natalie actually won't be 2 months till next Wednesday. (Dr. Harper is leaving for Africa for 3 weeks on Friday which is why we went today.) So Natalie is bigger than Joanna was, for sure!
She is also practically perfect. She's got a little cradle cap, which we got instructions on how to care for. Hopefully it will clear up soon!
Both girls got shots. Joanna had only 1, and she didn't even flinch! Natalie had 3, and she cried pretty hard for the 2nd and 3rd one. She settled down really fast afterward, though.
My wonderful husband took today off to go with us, and we've been able to have a relaxing afternoon together!
FOUR GIRLS!
We got to watch our friends Anna and Emma last Saturday. Tony and Lisa had a thing at the church for a couple of hours. It was fun!
We couldn't get a picture of all the girls looking at us, but here they are all in the frame!
The big girls played with blocks for a while.
They also ate a yummy dinner.
I'm not ready to run out and have 2 more children or anything, but we enjoyed having four girls at our house for a couple of hours! Anna and Joanna played very sweetly and entertained each other -- yea! Natalie was her usual self -- she's still at a pretty needy age. Miss Emma kept up with the big girls some and cuddled with me some. It was fun -- definitely a two adult activity for now, though. Yea for little girls!
The Big Wheel
Joanna got this cool big wheel from her Auntie Kathryn for her 2nd birthday! Her feet don't reach the pedals yet, but they will! Her friend Anna, who is 5 months older, came over later that day and her feet reach the pedals.
This doesn't look safe.
She calls it her bicycle. She's been obsessed with bicycles since she saw daddy's in the garage and he told her what it was. Since then she'll say "Daddy bicycle" just out of the blue. Now she has her own!

Fun Stuff
Here is Miss Natalie illustrating Joanna's bed after naptime. Sometimes it's even more full of stuff. I don't know how the child sleeps.
Joanna insisted on wearing these boots to play day on Friday. What an outfit!
We were celebrating our friend Bailey's 2nd birthday at playday, so of course there were cupcakes!
Bailey the birthday girl:
Some of the play day group:
That afternoon Joanna, Natalie, and I played in the backyard. For whatever reason, Blanket and Lovey had to come too.
King of the world!
Sliding is very fun.
Natalie fell asleep out there. Because we were outside, I got to take some nice close-up shots.
Cheese!
An aside: Joanna's teachers told us on Thursday that if she came to school in these shoes again, they were going to duct tape them to her feet. We bought some tie shoes on Friday.
Playing in the dirt is really fun!
I think that child STILL has some dirt under her fingernails.
Natalie, asleep in the bouncer outside.
It's also very fun to slide leaves and pine needles down the slide.
The next day was Natalie's first bottle experience. Before, 2 ounces of Mommy milk:
I hate it when I have so much to post but no hands to type and upload pictures! I will hopefully post more later!

Challenge
I was reading Candice's blog, and was tagged to do this Photo Folder Challenge. Go to your fourth folder, fourth picture and post it. Then tell about it.
Here's what you get from me!
This was from our 1st wedding anniversary (two years ago, oh my goodness!). A friend made our wedding cake and she was also so sweet to make us an anniversary cake. Matt still had to try the one from our actual wedding day which was in the freezer -- gross. Since I was pregnant, I didn't touch the old one, I just ate this new yummy one.
I'm going to do what Candice did. I'm not going to tag anyone in particular -- just everyone who's reading this. If you've got a blog (or facebook or whatever), you're tagged to do this challenge!
