Moses and the Freedom Fanatics

I brought my camera to the dress rehearsal for our upcoming children’s musical yesterday.

IMG_4010

The kids are disgruntled slaves, so the face is appropriate.  :)

IMG_4013

The cherubs sit on the front when they’re not singing.  A perfect spot to watch the action!

IMG_4016

Three cheers for Moses!

IMG_4021

They’re the plague frogs!

IMG_4026

It was after I took a few shots that I realized I was bugging Jan with the sound of the shutter.  Oops.  Sorry Jan.  So I stopped.

This morning we got dressed in our t-shirts to sing one of the songs from the musical at the worship services.

Stopped to smell the Easter lilies on the way in…

I only managed to take a picture at the 11:00 service.  Joanna had just been poked in the eye, which is why her shirt is wet and she has that “I’ve been crying” look.

IMG_4036

They held their arms up at the end.  (Um, obviously.)

IMG_4038

They’re so cute!

Lisa was having lunch with her small group girls today, so we brought the Vandenberge girls home with us.

Five kids in the car!

Playing at the Park!

Lisa made us go to the park today.  :)  I’m glad she did.  We had fun!

I had fun in Picasa with all the pics.  Normally I just blog them straight out of the camera, but I felt like playing around with the new settings in Picasa.  Eventually I will learn to edit my pictures for real, but that time has not come.

James loooooooovvvveeeedd playing in the sand box!

I deeply love this one:

This one makes me think of a dream sequence in a movie:

IMG_3998

I love to watch them run!

IMG_3999IMG_4003IMG_4004IMG_4006

Good ‘tude faces!

IMG_4008IMG_4009

We sure had fun at the park!  It is hard when they go in three different directions though.  :)

Bananas, Orange Juice, and Words

James loves his breakfast banana every day!

IMG_3934

Oops, it slipped.

IMG_3935

He’s saying “uh oh, uh oh.

IMG_3936

That’s better!

IMG_3937

This makes me think I should list the words James can say right now… that I remember anyway.

  • eat
  • bye bye
  • hi
  • Daddy
  • Momma
  • Junior
  • Gran
  • ball
  • yes
  • banana
  • cracker
  • water
  • I think there are more, but that’s what I’ve come up with so far.

He also has some signs that he uses, but they’re kind of phasing out.

  • eat
  • please
  • more
  • all done
  • hot (this is almost a word but it’s got a motion with it; it’s cute)
  • thank you

This morning I thought a little freshly squeezed orange juice with breakfast would be nice.

IMG_3938

It was.  The girls thought so too.

Yum!

Sweet Faces

My mom brought over popcicles yesterday, and the girls enjoyed eating them outside after nap.

IMG_3881

I was feeling the need to take some pictures this afternoon, so I asked my lovely models to stand in some of my favorite indoor light.  (While I was cozy on the couch!)  :)

IMG_3893

I LOVE the faces this child makes for me!

Joanna the pirate:

Sister got in on the action too!

IMG_3908

They’re so cute!

IMG_3910

Daddy brought the kiddos outside to play after dinner, and I snapped a few pics on my way to Sola Gratia practice.

James just looks so old in these next couple of pictures.  I am NOT okay with that!

IMG_3916

I could just stare at him forever!!

IMG_3917

I love these babies.  I’m hoping for lots of gooooooood snuggles at home tomorrow.

James’ 18 Month Check-Up

James was 18 months old on the 18th, but we didn’t get in to see the doctor until yesterday.  I was able to leave the girls with my mother (yay!), so James and I had a date.  It was nice.

His stats:
Height: 31.5 inches
Weight: 22 lb 4 oz
Head Circumference: 19.37 inches

IMG_3838

I’m finding it hard to be parted from my camera lately, so I was able to entertain myself by taking pictures of James.  :)

IMG_3848IMG_3849IMG_3850

He was trying to escape a lot.

IMG_3853IMG_3857

Oh that smile!!!!!

IMG_3859IMG_3862IMG_3869

IMG_3871

He’s practically perfect in every way!

He got two shots and he did so well – just a bit of fussing.  He was a bit grouchy the rest of the day, but when you combine two shots with teething molars, it’s a recipe for grumpiness for sure!
