I know you were all waiting with baited breath for my February Day in the Life post… nine days ago. :) I remembered that day at about 9:30, so there are no pics from before that, though I do remember the events. (Or did anyway, when I wrote it down on paper the next day.)
5:05am: Woke up to nurse the babies.
7:50: Woke up to a baby crying outside the closed door. It was Saturday, and Matt was home. Yay for getting to sleep in!
8:05: Ate oatmeal while I nursed the babies. Decided I wanted to go to BabyDaze for the half-price sale.
8:55: Arrived at the church with Joanna and waited in line until the doors opened at 9:00.
We found a new bike for Joanna for half off of $15!! Wahoo!! We also found a few other odds and ends, but the bike was the major score and worth the trip!
9:30: Realized it was the 8th and I should be taking pictures so I snapped this one:

Then she snapped this one:

This is what the gym looked like, and by 4:00 that afternoon it was totally empty again and ready for church the next day – crazy!

Big girl with her new bike! I’m pretty sure she could actually go up a size, but this size also works fine (and was $7.50!!) and will do perfectly until we upgrade.

Joanna and I left the church about 9:40 and headed to Kroger on the way home.
We arrived home a little before 11:00 to this Michael cuteness:

11:00: nursed the babies then hopped up to make grilled cheese sandwiches for everyone else. So domestic. :) See my new cast-iron griddle?!

After lunch my mom was on her way home from the airport and agreed to stop by and watch the kiddos while Matt and I loaded up the play kitchen for storage. Mom has a storage room that she keeps threatening to empty out and get rid of but actually hasn’t yet, so we’re taking advantage and storing our huge play kitchen for a little while. It wasn’t getting played with much, though we aren’t ready to get rid of it yet. The time apart will make the heart grow fonder. :)
Aaaaaand that made room for this beauty that the girls received from their best buds for their birthday. All three big kids LOVE playing with it. :)

When we got home from running to the storage room I of course needed to move furniture around. I have a sickness. :)

The babies were having a marathon nap (hallelujah!) during this time so I got focus on moving furniture around. Matt helped me when things were too bulky for one person, but mostly he stayed outside with the big kids for some bike riding.

Everybody got to upgrade to the next size bike. James technically doesn’t have a helmet yet so that’s on the list. He’s not terribly thrilled about bike riding yet though so it’s all good. This was going on at around 3:30.

At about 4:00 I started my part of the dinner prep. We did burgers and potatoes on the grill, but I also cooked bacon and onions inside to top them.

James was my helper/entertainer.

At 4:45 I stopped cooking to nurse the babies. (I hadn’t fed them since 11:00!!)

Matt grilled during that time and by 5:40 dinner was on the table.

I’m not sure it was this cold outside, but isn’t he cute?!

The babies had some wiggle time after they nursed. They’re so stinkin’ cute (even though you kind of can’t see their faces. Michael, Thomas.

My plate of deliciousness:

That’s a hamburger patty under there with cheese, bacon, onions, and avocado. Normally it would have also had some spinach, but we were out. SOOOOO GOOD!!
Natalie had Hootie again that week and fed him some of her burger. :)

After dinner Matt got the big kids bathed and the babies down for a little nap.
At 7:00 I found myself picking out clothes for the next day – the babies were being baptized!

Picking out clothes for myself took the longest and made the biggest mess. :)

7:30: The babies ate one last time for going down for the night.

At 8:20 the hubs and I were enjoying some milk, cookies, and the Olympics before bed.

I was asleep by 9:30pm. It was a great day – I sure do love the slightly more flexible and laid-back pace of the weekends with Matt home!!
