I keep forgetting to post this!
Okay, get a mental image going here. Natalie sleeps in a bassinet in our bedroom. It has a little shade over one end with a little mobile that can swing around. Night before last I layed her down about 8:00 with her head toward the shade end like I always do. She fussed for a while then fell asleep. Around 2 or 3 or whenever it was, she woke us up needing a fresh diaper and some chow. Well Matt goes and gets her and HER HEAD IS AT THE OTHER END OF THE BASSINET! No kidding. I have no stinking idea how she did this. I've seen her scootch in there by pushing her feet, but she's taller than the bassinet is wide. I'm baffled. Anyway, Kim's post about Callie being at the other end of her bed made me think of this, and I kept meaning to post it. The wonders of children!
Oh, the memories that just flooded back to me! Our little Paul David was a mover and a shaker from the get go...yeah, who would have guessed???
ReplyDeleteHe only got to stay in our room in the cradle for 2.5 weeks, then got the boot (we were mean parents I guess) because none of us were sleeping because he was SOOO loud. He would start in the middle of the cradle and end up at the top of the cradle when he woke me to eat...before he was a month old. Scared me to death.
I have written in his baby book on his 2 month summary that I would lay him one way, and he would be in a totally different spot when I went to get him...I even drew a diagram. He loved to be swaddled, but it didn't help the moving much. I even tried one of those wedge things...he'd just scoot out the top, then turn.
Looks like Miss Natalie might be a mover and a shaker, too! Don't fret because Paul David didn't crawl until he was 8 months old or walk until he was a little over a year, so he wasn't that big on moving as he grew:)
