Celebrating the big OH FOUR!

Pop and Joanna shared their birthday celebration again this year!  When I told her that she got to have her birthday celebration with Pop, she got so excited!  I never ever want that to change, you know?

I think this is my favorite picture of the evening.  We had just finished singing “Happy Birthday” to Pop and Joanna, and they looked at each other and had some kind of silent signal to blow out the candles.  It was precious.

That’s a 73 for Pop, and a 4 for Joanna!

Natalie chillin’ with her bud Uncle Steve, whom she mooched food off of all evening.  :)

Not much better than cake and ice cream!

Love it!

I was sitting on the couch and caught the birthday people talking and eating cake.  I wonder what they were talking about?

Aunt Missy is reading Joanna’s cards to her!

Aunt Mindy brought Natalie’s birthday gift since she couldn’t make her party last month.  It was this cute, soft animal (zebra) and a matching blanket.  Natalie was so excited pulling it out of the bag, but she didn’t know really what it was.  She said, “it’s a… something!”  Here, Mindy is acting it out for me.  :)

The girls got so many wonderful goodies that they have really enjoyed playing with!

Natalie was loving on Weensie.

The very next day we got to go to Grandma’s house since Aunt Gail was in town for a quick visit.  There was a little celebration for our four year old there too!

Aunt Gail and Grandma made cupcakes inside ice cream cones!
I think Natalie was confused.  She didn’t eat much of hers.  I think she wanted her “hof freem.”

Joanna had no trouble; she attacked like a pro!
With only a little chocolate mustache to show for it.  I love how neatly four year olds eat.

Here she is pretending to sleep in Uncle Andy’s arms.  She’s holding her little hamster (stuffed hamster!) cage from Uncle Mark and Aunt Ida.

We had such a good time celebrating and enjoying our company!
