Yesterday Matt and I were talking about how I really have a lot to do this week and I should be getting up at least a little bit before the kiddos but I can’t {CAN’T CAN’T!} make myself get out of bed in the mornings. It’s a combination of things but really boils down to a lack of will power. :)
Anyway, in a round-a-bout way, my husband agreed to help, and it was a success this morning! I was up by about 6:40, drinking a cup of tea made by Matt, watching him make the bed. :)
I’ve been really good this whole year about making the bed every morning, but it’s just SO HARD to get out first! And since I don’t actually love making the bed, having the incentive to GET OUT so Matt will do it is HUGE! And the cup of tea super helps.
I had gotten so much done by 9:45 that I gave myself a break to be lazy for a while. It was nice.
Anyway, we actually walked to school this morning for the first time in ages. My big Kindergartener:
The littles went to school today too, so I was home alone for several hours. I planned and prepped my children’s choir lesson, hung laundry outside, and was able to keep the place picked up for more than fifteen minutes. Lovely just doesn’t come close to describing it!
I walked to pick up my big girl all by myself this afternoon, and I brought the camera along. I wonder how much longer she’ll let me hold her hand all the way home…
Lisa took and picked up my kids from school today – wahoo for great friends!! We played outside when they all got home. Even I must admit it was GORGEOUS today!
He can’t quite reach the handle with enough force to open it. So close!
I was outside with them some, but came in to look on the computer. At one point I heard my name and turned around to see this:
Ha!
This day felt good.
