My birthday was TEN days ago, so it’s about time I get around to blogging about it. :)
I had a horrific headache and was up through the night before with it. So I was wide awake at 2ish when Natalie came in and said “Mommy, I throwed up.” :(
I reached out in the darkness and asked where she was. A little hand reached up and I grabbed it. Then she said, “I didn’t throw up on that hand.” Thank goodness.
She had made quite the mess. Matt cleaned up the bedding and got Joanna a fresh, clean place to sleep while I cleaned up Natalie in the shower. She threw up one more time and then went to sleep in my room for the rest of the night.
In the morning I got everyone else off to school, and Natalie and I began our day of snuggling.
She didn’t get sick again, so we decided to chance going out to lunch. My mom took us to Red Lobster since I was having a super serious craving for some fried shrimp.
The settings on my mother’s camera were wonky. I fixed them, but should have had her retake this one. Oh well!
Heaven.
My mom got fish tacos. I thought they were pretty.
Almost perky!
She did totally fine at the restaurant and was even hungry and ate something. I was feeling pretty punk so we headed home for some rest and snuggles.
Matt came home early that day so he picked up Joanna and James from school while Natalie and I rested.
At some point Matt’s mom and dad came over to bring me a birthday card and a cookie cake!!!!!!!
I may or may not have mentioned this, but Cookie Cake is my love language.
Basically unrelated, but taken at the same time: Extremely handsome boy.
And THEN a friend brought over some dinner, including cupcakes!
The day did not turn out quite like I may have thought, but it was very lovely all the same.
