Joanna

Joanna was the Star of the Week at school last week, and we worked on her poster last Sunday afternoon.  I let her decorate the blank poster with crayons, colored pencil, markers, and her favorite – watercolors.  She helped me pick the paper to matte the photos on (and she helped pick the pics as well).  For her name, I gave her six half-sheets of pink paper and told her to write the letters in her name on them, as big as she could.  I then cut out block letters around her writing.  I just love it!

Here is her little form:

Most of the answers were pretty predictable, though I never know what she’ll say is her favorite color.  That tends to change.  What she wants to be when she grows up also changes.  I’m happy she at least considers teacher from time to time.  :)  She did tell me she forgot what she wrote when it was time to share with the class.

For the pictures, we just chose recent ones of her and her family and best bud Anna.

Here she is on Monday morning, ready to deliver her poster to school!

This was a different day last week (Thursday I think), and I just had to snap a picture of her sitting all by herself at the back of the class!  She was working very hard on something that I think she hadn’t been able to finish earlier in the day.

I just love the hat; I told her she looked like the Snow Queen!

Later that same day I caught her doing hopscotch in the kitchen!

I didn’t even know she knew what hopscotch was!

I just love my Joanna girl.  She is so big!
