Over the river and through the woods...

To Grandmother's house we go! On Sunday, we played hooky from church (gasp!) and headed over to my grandma's house for a little visit. When we got there, Grandma and my Aunt Gail had left (we later discovered for Wal-Mart) a little while earlier. Luckily we still had people (and kitties) to entertain us. :)
We visited with Andy and Christiana for a while, then we went inside to see Albert the kitty. He has grown a lot! I didn't get any pictures, probably because the camera was not in my hand. At one point the cat went someplace else, and I heard Joanna say a new sentence. She said, "Where's the yeow?" Isn't she brilliant?!
Later we went back outside when Grandma and Aunt Gail got back.
Here is Joanna having a staring contest with Andy. She always wins. Here is Joanna on her throne. She really did not want to get off. She LOVED sitting on that little log.
We had a nice visit; we mooched lunch, then headed home for nap.
Yesterday I decided to finally put up the giraffe tent Joanna got for last Christmas (I think) from Aunt Mindy. It's been under the crib, and I keep looking at it and thinking, I need to put that together. Yesterday I was feeling industrious and thought Joanna would enjoy playing in a little tent. It was really easy to put together, even for a pregnant woman with a toddler hovering around her legs.
This is Joanna acting grumpy when she can't reach up and touch the giraffe.

We had just gotten home from school, so we thought of putting the nap mat inside. We added a few pillows and it was very cozy! You can open both ends of the giraffe and walk through it like a tunnel. You can also look all the way up the giraffe's neck when you're inside. It's very cool. Someday we'll put it up outside for some faux camping fun. (I do not actually camp).
