Several months ago I pinned this to my “organize” board on Pinterest:

I pretty much keep all my chargers plugged in on my bedside table, but I was such a huge mess with all the cords, and sometimes they’d fall off the back – yuck!
I loved this idea of the ribbon box, but I wanted to get started before the had to chance to go find one.
Enter large shoebox:
It has looked like the above for months and months. It was functional but sooooooo ugly. I finally was feeling a little crafty and was fed up with looking at it everyday. So I got to work on it last night. {which is why the pictures aren’t great – no natural light!}
I was perfectly happy with the openings being a little askew and having some personality, so I didn’t measure or align them. I just used an exacto knife to make squares that the plugs would fit through.
I dug through my 12x12 scrapbook paper for some coordinating pages that I thought I would enjoy on my bedside table. I ended up needing three sheets.
I used Elmer’s to attach the paper, so there are some wrinkles. I think it adds to the character. I LOVE the finished product.
Inside – all the mess:
All done and in it’s spot! {It’s other job is to hold the door open.}
From left to right: camera battery~empty spot~iPod~Bluetooth earpiece~Kindle~cell phone
Now I smile when I plug in all my stuff.
