-Earlier today I sang Joanna the first verse of “The Ants go Marching…” and when I stopped, she sang me the second verse. I didn’t really realize she knew that song. We don’t sing it much. But it made me tear up a little because of a memory I had. When Joanna was little bitty I brought her to work full time with me. (How did I even do that?) Anyway, I can remember going out to the prayer garden with her when she was fussy to sit on the benches and sing to her. I sang that song a lot, not because I particularly liked it, but because it had a lot of verses and I didn’t have to put much thought into it. I was tired; I know that! It’s amazing all the things that are in our brains and can come spilling out anytime. :)
-Last night James went to sleep on the right end of the crib clutching his little zebra lovey. When I got him at 1:00am (man I was tired)gdeet[ere[erhrhgthffyutg6jyjyjyrhhgutrrttrtyy7y76tyyhytrii75fgiituiutujgkhkkjhkjklghyuyuj7891222222222222222222222222222et7itrj
(And that’s what happens when you walk away from your computer and leave the 4 year old.)
Anyway, I went to get him and not only was he at the opposite end of the bed facing the opposite direction, but he still had his lovey! I’m not surprised he rolled/scooted all the way down there, but I am surprised he did it while clutching the zebra!
-Miss Natalie is doing such a great job of using the potty at home! She’s definitely not potty trained yet, but she goes very regularly here without accidents. I do leave her completely undressed on her bottom though, which helps. I figure when she gets more used to her cues, she can wear panties (now she’ll often tinkle in them). She likes using the potty, whether I remind her or she remembers herself. Saturday morning I was sleeping in (ahhhhhh…), and Natalie came and joined me in the bed. When I woke up she was crashed on Matt’s side with her naked bottom! I was sure she was going to tinkle in the bed, but she didn’t. She’s so big!
