Joanna crashed during her rest time on Wednesday. She pretty much never sleeps during the day anymore, but I knew she needed it. In hindsight, I might have woken her up. It probably would have made for a very grumpy afternoon, but she didn’t fall asleep until about 11:00PM, I think. Aaaaack!
That evening Mindy brought us over pizza. It was such a nice way to end the day! James sure loves his crust. This was pretty soft though, so I kept having to fish it out of his mouth. He’d cry and cry until he realized he still had some in his hand. :)
I didn’t let Joanna go back to the last day of Tennis camp on Thursday, but I promised her we’d go to the library instead. It was the afternoon before we could make it, but we did!
The girls love “playing” the games on the computers there. They’re touch-screen.
I love a sitting up baby!!
Friday morning we popped over to Lisa’s to play for awhile. James got stuck under the coffee table. I think he was going after Anton’s drum practice-pads. Maybe a future percussionist?
The girls enjoyed playing with the car. Somebody drove and somebody rode on top.
Look carefully and you’ll see that Joanna is wearing the dog collar as a necklace. :)
In the middle is the big girls’ friend Kaydee from school. It was so nice to get to play with her! She has a brand new baby brother, who is soooooo cute and wrinkly!
Is this a super-precious group of girls, or what?!
Today I slept late (ahhhhhh) did a few housework-y kinds of things, took care of my family, took a nap (ahhhhhh) and now sit typing on the computer. I need a few days like this in my life from time to time.
I love snuggling my James. I could just squeeze him and squeeze him (gently, of course).
And Natalie, the hairy monster. I should keep some clips in my pocket.
Joanna brought me this toy earlier to show me that she had drawn Aunt Mindy and Uncle Steve. I LOVE it!! This really is the first time I’ve seen people or faces in her drawings.
This afternoon Joanna grabbed this toy, which below the little writing part (or above, actually; it’s upside-down) are all the letters and different options for games. It has an attached pen. Anyway, she came into get Natalie and told her she was going to check on the baby in her tummy. Portable ultrasound! Ha! I love how they (sometimes) play so sweetly and think up the best games.
