And we have no intention of changing anytime soon. It has been a pretty long hard week, and I'm tired! Joanna and I are having a fun, relaxing morning at home. She'd probably have more fun if we got dressed and maybe went outside or on an errand. But I don't think that's going to happen. It's pretty sad, but I started counting the hours till Matt gets home when I woke up this morning. Joanna is being so sweet! but I just need some Jessica time. I think I've mentioned that this is my busiest work-time of the year, which is really sad because I LOVE Christmas and it's harder to enjoy it when I'm stressed about getting work done before the baby comes. And it's hard to enjoy these last few weeks/days? of pregnancy because I'm stressed about getting work done. Don't get me wrong; I really like my little job. I have fun doing it; I enjoy the people I work with; and I think it's good for me. I'm just pooped. And whiny! Sorry. :)
The really good news is that I'm very caught up with work, even ahead a little. Yea!! The bulletins and Media Shout for Sunday AND Christmas Eve are DONE!! I've even started on the bulletin for NEXT Sunday. Poor Joanna had to work a lot this week! Luckily she was well every day so got to go to school and nursery whenever it was open! She really likes playing with all the toys and her friends at the church. And her naps at school were really great this week. (Too bad we're off for 2 weeks to forget our routine!) I arrived to pick Joanna up about 2:20 yesterday. I sat in the rocking chair reading my book until 3:03 when she woke up. Yea for Joanna!! She had almost a 2 hour nap at school. That is unprecedented! I'm sure it's totally my fault that she wasn't sleeping well as school before. I've recently reformed and decided to try to make our daily routine as close to her school day as possible. I think it's really helping, both here and at home. We'd been pretty lazy about naptime, often going down later than at school and just winging it day to day. I'm really trying to make it the same (within 30 minutes or so) every day as well as making lunch, dinner, and bedtime the same, even if we're out and about. We'd been pretty good about dinner and bedtime (it's easier with the Daddy around!). Unfortunately my reform does not extend to what I feed the child (and the Daddy) for dinner. I have pretty much stopped cooking. The mere thought exhausts me. Hey, something had to go, right? :) Too bad it wasn't the only something...
It's naptime!
