19 Weeks

No picture today.  I’ll take some tomorrow and post with the ultrasound pics.

How Your Baby’s Growing (from Babycenter.com):

Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.
Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

How far along: 19 weeks

Pregnancy symptoms: forgetfulness

Food Cravings: Braums’ fries and mix, chicken fried steak and gravy, eggs, Chinese – especially rice and lo mein noodles

Sleep: It’s really continued to be good.  I sleep pretty soundly (before and after I get up to pee.)

Measurement: 36.5 inches

Movement: Still nothing consistent, but I do feel some flutterings that are a little stronger

Labor signs: none

What I miss: nothing comes to mind

What I’m looking forward to: The ultrasound tomorrow!  I really hope they get good pictures and that the girls are well behaved.  :)

Milestone: ummmm… Well, I guess flying to OKC pregnant with my toddler is pretty dramatic!  We had a great time and I hardly felt pregnant.

Thoughts from the Girls: It’s been a pretty busy week; I’m not remembering any baby conversations

Doctor’s visit: I’ll have my “20 week” appointment on Wednesday.  My doctor is out Thursday through Tuesday due to her normal schedule combined with Memorial Day weekend, so it was either early or late.  I picked early.  :)
