I turned thirty today.

It was a good day.

But I’m still mourning my twenties.  I miss them.

I woke up a bit earlier than I really wanted to on my birthday, but I got to have some snuggles with my babies on the couch, so it was okay.

Natalie woke up quite a bit later so she missed picture time.  :)

My mom called and brought over breakfast fixins – bacon, eggs, and cinnamon rolls!

I lazed around a bit, blogged, checked Facebook ninety-four times (I love Facebook birthday wishes!), and then finally got showered and dressed.  A friend came and got me and took me to lunch – yay!

And when I got home Matt’s mom and dad were there and had brought cookie cake!

And a new apron and beautiful dish towels!

The children each made me a card – I love their artwork!

The kiddos played and played with Mamma and Pop.  (I bet Mamma and Pop sleep good tonight!)

Natalie’s making a little wall so Pop can’t tickle her.  :)

Mmmmmm… cookie!

The UPS man came and brought me a present from my dad and Renee – Photoshop Elements, a book on how the heck to use it, and an immersion blender!  I didn’t know which one to use first!!

{Actually I was exhausted so I took a nap.  But I am really excited to play with my new stuff tomorrow!}

After rest time we headed to The Woodlands.  I had to exchange something in the mall, and we decide to eat out there as well.  There are a thousand restaurants around the mall, and a friend had recommended a great one, but we ended up at Sweet Tomatoes, where we ate last week with my mom.  :)

Everybody LOVED it!  And it’s quite reasonable for all of us, especially getting to eat lots of exactly what we want.  Yum!

James did so well.  He ate and ate and ate (for free – yay!), and had fun drinking his water.

We had dinner first since we were later heading over than I’d planned on.  The last thing I need in the universe is grumpy kiddos.

While I did my quick shopping, Matt took the kids down to the play area, and they had a BLAST!

Beautiful girl…

At some point James may stop being the sweet baby brother and begin to resist this kind of “help.”

Apparently she climbed up there so she could watch the elevator.  She’s cute.

We got home late, but the children did SO WELL on our little adventure!  I sure hope they sleep in a bit.  :)  Tomorrow seems like our first day of “summer,” since it’s our first Tuesday with no school.  Matt took today off (obviously!), so it’s going to be hard getting back to the grind.  I am looking forward to a pretty laid back day and getting to catch up a bit around the house though.  Maybe I can clean up the house a bit, and then go outside and keep it that way!

I am SO THANKFUL for my family and friends who make everyday so special for me.  I cannot express how much I love being an at-home momma to my babies.  My life is amazing, and I don’t deserve it.  But I’ll take it, gratefully.

Thank you friends for all of my birthday messages, calls, and notes – I love them!

Although… would you believe I only heard the Happy Birthday song one time?!  Thanks Dad and Renée!!  (And if anyone else wants to sing to me, I will accept it late.)

:)
