Sunday was busy, but I didn’t have to cook!

Sunday after church we went over to my grandma’s house for lunch.  Lots of family were there!  A big group of my extended family were going to go cruising this week on the Triumph.  Thankfully they didn’t end up on the trip that was stranded, but that means they had some vacation time in Houston to kill.

James was a hoot, as usual.

Natalie is so beautiful.  {And smart, kind, thoughtful, loving, occasionally grumpy and a toot.}

Matt took the kids over to my uncle Mark’s yard (next door) to play on the swings.  Apparently Joanna and Natalie were running and jumping on the swings on their bellies.  Joanna got off-balanced and ended up on her face on the ground.  Ouch!

Christiana and her mom (well, mostly her mom) are learning to spin wool roving into yarn (or something like that).

This group saw me taking pictures and all decided to pull out their phones.  They’re a funny bunch.  :)

We had a lovely lunch with sandwiches and sides and lots of yummy desserts.  I grazed all afternoon.  About 4:00 we headed to Matt’s mom and Dad’s to celebrate Pop’s birthday!  (And eat more food!)

James was sweet to his cousin Brooke.

Licking icing off the candles – yum!

Mindy and Steve – awwww!

James devoured his cake and ice cream and managed to mooch a last bite off of Uncle Steve.  :)

And I do heartily apologize to all the seventy-four people who were victims of James’ mooching on Sunday.  He’s had a fever since Monday morning that I sincerely hope none of you get.

Ahem.

It was such a lovely day with family!
