Thursday was supposed to be Joanna's last day of school. Instead it was Tuesday, but we didn't know it then. We found out today when the thermometer read: 102.7. Ew. And she went to the nursery this morning. Sorry to anybody we came in contact with today! We came home and my mom commented that Joanna felt hot -- quite hot, like she'd just come out of a hot car or played outside. Except it didn't go away so I checked her temp. Other than the temperature, she was pretty much fine today. She went down really easily for her nap which isn't normal, but only slept for a little while, which of course is normal. She was pretty cheerful this afternoon, even when the Tylenol wore off. She had occasional bouts of neediness/crankiness, but was overall pretty normal. Mystery fever. I hope it leaves soon.
I called her teacher to let her know Joanna wouldn't be there so she could open up her spot for a drop in. I think Joanna's best friend Anna will get to go in her spot tomorrow. I was telling Joanna that Miss Joan said to give her a big hug... then I told her that she was getting to stay home with Gran tomorrow... blah blah blah. She said, "I play water day." Isn't that so sad?! She had so much fun on Tuesday, and she wanted to do it again! :(

I thought I would share (or reshare, can't remember) some pictures of the beginning of school last fall. I didn't get any particularly great ones, but these were from the "meet and greet" the week before school started.
And here she is last week up at the church. I didn't get any pictures ON her last day of school, because I didn't know it was!! :( She's so much more grown up now! I think she's leaner now (more like a kid, less like a baby), and she's had two haircuts since then! She's in the next size up in clothes and I think 2 sizes up in shoes. I'd have to check to be sure. The fall is sort of blurry -- prego brain, you know.
I do have some new pics to share -- kitty stuff and family stuff, but it's late and I'm going to bed. The girls woke up at 6 (ick!) this morning. Tomorrow's my birthday, there's no MDO but the bulletins and media shout still must go on! I really hope Natalie doesn't get whatever Joanna has. My poor little ones!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS!!! Hope you have a wonderful day--wish I could be there! I love you!

Look at how baby she looked that first day! It's amazing how much they've learned and grown this year!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, too! I hope you have a great day!
Happy Birthday, and hope today is a great day!!
ReplyDeleteCould her mystery fever be an ear infection or teeth?? Just an idea.
Hope we can get together soon!
