Kitchen Wish List
I have different versions of this hanging around and have decided I just need to put it on the ol' blog! Now I know you all are just planning to run out and start buying these things for me, but please don't. :) Hee hee. I really just wanted to put this list somewhere I wouldn't keep losing it. I'm sure I'll add to it from time to time. I plan to collect a little bit at a time for an eventual perfect kitchen. :) Some are more needs than wants, and some are just dreams at this point.

I don't think you really want a bread maker. i thought i did, though i felt, like you, that it was selling out, but i just didn't feel i had the time/energy to do it myself. however, i dont like the way they make bread, turns out dense and heavy and too salty, and very small loaves. i don't recommend this, unless someone has an old one they don't want anymore that doesn't cost anyone anything...otherwise, i don't think they're worth it!!
ReplyDeleteHi Jess, this could totally be my list too! I burned myself (AGAIN!) on Saturday making pancakes in a regular pan because my fingers hit the high sides and also it took me 20 minutes to make 8 pancakes! bah, I want an electric skillet - sometimes I just don't want to deal with the stove! I watch Overstock.com like a hawk, sometimes they have very good deals and shipping is only 2.95.
ReplyDeleteWow...that's a good list! I totally agree with Kathy on the bread maker. My MIL has one, but she only lets it knead the bread for her, then she bakes it in the oven. She doesn't like how it turns out either. If you get a big mixer, it kneads it for you...still kind of selling out, but way worth it!
ReplyDeleteI have a 2 cup glass measuring cup if you'd like it...I have two for some reason...I know you said 1 cup so you may want a smaller one. I also have an electric knife that I've been wanting to get rid of (Paul got a different one) and was hoping that would be on your list!
Also, the wooden spoons, my mom got me the ones from pampered chef and they are AWESOME! I love them...I think they're bamboo...so if you're invited to a Pampered Chef party soon, that could be something you get!
A Kitchen scale is sooo useful! We use ours all the time!
