I haven’t taken any pictures this week

But I really felt like blogging, so…

I decided to take a trip down memory lane.

If my wedding pics had been on the computer, you probably would have gotten some of those.  As I would have had to move to get those, and I’ve been feeling very baby crazy lately, here are some newborn Joanna pics.  Some of them may have been posted at some point or another, but I wasn’t blogging yet when she was born.

I can’t get over how red she was all over her face.  All those birthmark type things have faded tons in her 3 1/2 years.  When she gets hot or upset, they come out a little more, but they’re barely there now.

We loved snuggling her like this.  She loved snuggling like that too.  Still does, come to think of it.  She just doesn’t fit quite so well.

Joanna was due March 7, 2007.  My baby shower was scheduled for February 25th.

The reason her name was on the cake (as we don’t name our babies until they’re born) was that she was born February 22nd.

I still went.  Three days postpartum.  So did Joanna.  Three days old.

 

I had no clothes.  I didn’t feel that good.  I was all hormoney and hot.  But I’m really glad I went.  It was pretty cool to get to show Joanna off (from a distance of course) to so many of our friends and family.

It’s amazing how much harder it was to bring our first baby home and take care of her than it was to bring the second one home and take care of two of them.

I wonder what this next time will be like?  They’ll have us outnumbered.  That’s never good, right?  :)
