23 Weeks

23  Weeks

How Your Baby’s Growing (from Babycenter.com):

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

How far along: 23 weeks

Pregnancy symptoms: back/knee/ankle pain (I think the pains are all related to each other)

Food Cravings: juice, pineapple, chocolate candy bars

Sleep: good!

Measurement: inches

Movement: Lots!  I’ve even been able to see it on the outside a couple of times

Labor signs: none

What I miss: winter  :)

What I’m looking forward to: Doctor’s appointment on Friday; finding a dress for my 10 year reunion

Milestone: We painted the kids’ room over the last few days.  Yay for nesting!

Thoughts from the Girls: Joanna told me yesterday that she wanted Baby Brother to come out.  Fortunately, she was okay about it when I told her he had to grow some more first.  She’s very excited.

Doctor’s visit: I have one Friday for “24 weeks.”
