Leg Warmers in July

Joanna has this orange blanket that zips into a giraffe so it's a 2 in 1 blanket pillow thing. She loves it, but recently just the blanket has become a favorite thing. For whatever reason, though, she calls it her green blanket. Did I mention it's orange? Completely unmistakeably orange. I might also mention Joanna doesn't have her colors down yet. :)
Right now she's at her door screaming for her bear pillow and green blanket... which she doesn't have and wants. I'm holding my ground, though. She's not getting any more stuff or any response from me. She needs sleep. And calmness. And relaxation. I'm hoping the few nap/bedtime changes we're implementing will create a less stressed Joanna over the next few days. Or at the very least a less stressed Mommy. :)
Now on to Natalie's photo session of today:
Even though it's warm outside, I put some leg warmers on Miss Natalie to protect her knees while scootching. Then I added a onesie and topped the outfit off with a bow. I think she is seriously stylin'.
This is a "my sister is tickling me" laugh: Look how well she's supporting herself! Sitting is coming soon I think!

On the way to school -- Joanna helped me push Natalie. I think she'd be really good at it if she could see over the top. :)
"Oh, these straps are so delicious!" (and probably very clean, let me tell you)
How cute is she?!
Back at home -- she got so tickled with rolling under the bed!
(Oh, and this is Joanna's giraffe pillow/blanket thing -- Natalie's a fan, too!)
You can barely see it behind her fist, but she's giggling!
Well, this child has drifted peacefully off to dreamland, despite her hollering sister next door. They really do get used to the noises of the house... thank goodness.

  1. good for you!! what types of changes are you implementing?? it may take a few days for them to work and her to accept them. josh's new thing is to sleep on the floor...I have to tell him that as long as he will lie down and go to sleep that he can stay on the floor, otherwise, it's into bed. a horrible punishment, apparently!
