Too bad it's not mine, found it on a website... well, technically my mother found it, but she was reading the website to me while I was driving. Anyway, my mom was reading to me about some remedies for something on kellymom.com and one thing was a hot compress made by pouring hot water into a diaper. At first I thought that sounded crazy but I filed it away. I was on the road and feeling very very lousy and needing a hot compress. I was thinking I could get some hot water from a restaurant, but what to put it on? I had washcloths but no ziplocks. I had grocery sacks, but those typically have little holes, and washcloths covered in hot water drip and get you wet. The I recalled the baby diaper idea -- BRILLIANT! What are diapers best at? NOT LEAKING! And what do I have a ton of in the car? Diapers!! So I ordered a cup of hot water at McDonalds (free, btw) and poured it into a clean Swaddler. Presto -- a very soft, dry compress. LOVE IT! Sure, not as earth friendly as one of those reusable deals, but I didn't have one of those or a way to heat it up -- this was perfect for the road!
Anyway, had to share -- hopefully this will come in handy sometime!
